1. QUESTION: Can I combine my tryout fee & players fees?
ANSWER: NO, the tryout fee must be a separate, non-refundable payment via cash, check or money order (made payable to NEMS). 2. QUESTION: I have 2 children trying out – can I write one check? ANSWER: NO, payments are per player and cannot be combined. 3. QUESTION: Can I get my money back? ANSWER: YES & NO… The tryout fee is non-refundable. After tryouts, you will receive a phone call… If you are NOT offered a position on a team, your check will be shredded unless you state otherwise at registration. If you ARE offered a spot on a team, you will have 48 hours to accept or decline the position. If you do NOT accept, your player & uniform fee will be shredded, unless you state otherwise at registration. 4. QUESTION: Do I need to save/wear my tryout # on day 2? ANSWER: YES this number must be worn BOTH days. It is your responsibility to bring back/wear the # on day 2. 5. QUESTION: What’s going on with the NEW NEMS uniforms? ANSWER: New Uniforms for ALL players are being designed. New design dictates new cost. This additional fee (amount TBD) will be due by March 1st for the NEW NEMS uniforms, to be worn beginning Summer, 2015. 6. QUESTION: Am I required to by the traditional NEMS uniform & the NEW uniform? ANSWER: YES you are. The traditional uniform, to be worn this Fall, will then become the players practice uniform in the summer. The traditional NEMS uniform is to be paid for at tryouts. The NEW uniform will be paid for with your March 1st payment – amount TBD |
7. QUESTION: I’m a returning player but I need/want a new Traditional NEMS uniform?
ANSWER: This is TBD… you may request this; however we will be filling uniform orders for NEW players first. If we have any inventory. 8. QUESTION: When will I know if I made a team? ANSWER: Every player trying out will receive a phone call within 7 days after tryouts. At registration we will confirm the number you want us to call. 9. QUESTION: I don’t have a US Lacrosse #, do I need one? ANSWER: You MUST join/register US Lacrosse in advance & obtain a US Lacrosse number. It is NOT optional and a requirement for insurance purposes. Visit http://www.uslacrosse.org/ 10. QUESTION: I forgot my payment/I forgot 2 forms of payment? ANSWER: Payment is required in order to tryout, no exception. 11. QUESTION: Can I request my number if I make the team? ANSWER: NO numbers are issued by our exec board, numbers are rotated every 4+/- years. Sorry, no special requests. 12. QUESTION: Can I alter the payment schedule? ANSWER: NO, NEMS is a non-profit organization, for the girls. Therefore, we operate on a cost prohibitive budget beneficial to our girls & their families. We are not able to be flexible in offering payment plans, extensions, make exceptions etc… We strictly enforce ½ payment + uniform & tryout fee AT TRYOUTS followed up by BALANCE DUE on or before March 1st. If you are unable to pay, you are unable to play. |
